Rhodes

journalist, lecturer

I’m an investigative journalist who focuses on how the criminal legal system impacts LGBTQ+ people. Over the course of my career, I have written about issues including anti-gay bias in capital murder cases, laws that criminalize people living with HIV, and prison conditions affecting transgender women.

I am also currently the board secretary of the Trans Journalists Association and a member of the National Hispanic Journalists’ LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee.
